Those that have been, whats it like to go?
Always fancied it but a) miles away and b) quite expensive and not really sure what ticket to buy.
Would like to take my old man next year.

I live over 300 miles away but it's well worth the effort. It's like manna from heaven for petrol heads - the sounds & smells alone will make you drool, never mind the sight of the cars! What's more it's almost totally chav free
It's grown to such an extent now that I don't think one day there is enough so I'd advise you to book a room nearby and go on all three days
Friday - get up close to the cars, Saturday - do the trade stands and rally stage, Sunday - watch the hill action from a grandstand seat

It really is a fantastic event, probably the best of the UK motorsport year.
You really do need three days to see it all though and its best to get grandstand seats as well.
If you are going to saty you need to book rooms as soon as they become available as they seel very very quickly.

I watched it and when they were showing the rally bits I noticed an elderly chap looking a little wizened amongst the other people. It suddenly occurred to me that since PSL said he was there that is could have been him!
I could not see if he had a Zimmer frame in the shot , he was wearing a brown jacket.
Come on Pete-put me out of my misery, did I have a brief glimpse of the King of ScoobyNet as you say. Have I actually seen the great incomparable PSL?
