This type of thing has been done so many times before... and over the "distance" that they'll set the car will no doubt win.. even with full on combat reheat it takes a while relatively speaking for a jet to get moving.. it's this that gives a quick car it's head start.
It's obviously a typical Top Gear gimmicky stunt, and a not very original one at that. Wouldn't surprise me if it was filmed the same time that James May was at Coningsby getting his back seat trip in a Typhoon for that 20th Century thing he did.

Who cares if it's been done before? Any programme that features a Typhoon and fast cars is OK by me
