Cresta soda?!
Does anyone remember Cresta pop as a kid?
Or does anyone remember Glees - a sort of addictive cake bar tested on fat, greedy Geordies but never made it outside of the North East as the Geordies ate them all? Rumoured to have something in them to make them moreish - which in Newcastle meant they were edible and available!!

Mate's parents used to buy him loads. Helped that they were in catering .. So I used to consume a fair amount when at his place. Still remember that taste ... I'm sure I'd still find it pleasant now, I'd just be a little wiser as to what was in it!
But still remember the polar bear with the shades ... hey, they KNEW global warming was coming !!!

Yeah, I remeber Cresta, and Corona too - it used to be delivered in 1 litre bottles by the Corona Man
Where we lived (Northampton) there was also another similar soft drinks provider - I think it was called Alpine?

I found a chip of glass in a bottle (nearly swallowed it) so I wrote letter to them. Three days later the area manager was on the doorstep with about 8 crates of the stuff. And I lived to tell the tale .
I think I was pretty fed up with it after getting through that little lot so never bought it again.
It was kind of a chemicaly fruity flavour, though not like any of the fruits it was supposed to be, with smaller bubbles than say Coke or Lemonade.
Aah, the good old days. Down at the park, jumpers fro goalposts...........

Sodastream -- you can still buy them: SodaStream
Although they look a bit different now from how I remember them:
