Question Mobile phone contracts

I'm signed up to O2 on an 18month contract and now emegrating to Australia.

Is there anyway I can get out of my Contract.

Or is it just a case of paying it off.

Cheers

There is usually a buy-out clause which in some cases isn't too bad, like £180, but you get the phone and it's better than paying another 16 x £30 for example.

Probably not too good an idea as we do plan to come back.

Sometimes you can just change your tariff to a lower one, can you just change it to the lowest O2 Offer, might work out cheaper.
