Bring back the death penalty

Just been watching the news about that man who ran after attempted car thieves who had been trying to steal his parents-in-laws' car outside a house near Halifax over Christmas.
They stabbed him and left him to die in the road. Even the police (who must become hardened to a lot of the things that the general public would find very distressing) seemed shocked.
Bring back the death penalty.

Something is definitely needed but of course bringing back the death penalty will be a breach of human rights - you know our human right to be blown up by terrorists and get stabbed to death by car thieves
