TBH I can't stand listening to Scott mills. It's not him, it's Chappers. He sounds too old. It's like listening to your dad trying to be cool with the kids.

Chris Moyles can't come back quick enough for me.

Yeh he is on holiday, they keep it known as the Chris Moyles show so people know to expect him back soon otherwise we'd all be finding another channel sharpish.

What ever the case, the show is dull. One person I hate more is Sarah ***, the woman sounds like a retard, isnt funny, and talk no stop crap.

Basically, apart from the dance stuff on Fri / Sat / Sun, Radio is ****e !

i agree with the statement about sara ***, she is so un talented. I think scott mills is actually funny and I prefer listening to his show more than moyles. I think mills show has a better blend of light heartedness and music whereas moyles can be quite aggressive at times and plays about 3 songs an hour depending on what time of the month it is!
Wiley is bobbins as well apart from her live lounge sets. Where are mark and lard thats what I want to know.

Mark and Lard were funny back in about 1995 but when they were still doing the same scripts and shows 6 years on it got very boring.

Actually Mark and Lisa Tarbuck are on R2 and are very funny IMO.

I'm 30 and haven't been able to listen to R1 for years. Chris Moyles and co are funny. Jo ***** is OK. Sarah (loves) *** is sh1te.

And I really really can't stand the music - its a wag of bank and no mistake!!

maybe it's being the wrong side of 30, but I can't stand Radio 1 these days.
whenever I listen, they've got some big gig organised, or an exclusive one from their current flavour of the month, then they talk about it constantly.
Every show has competions to win tickets, Sara *** goes an about what a great time she'll be having there at our expense, then afterwards everyone goes on about how great it was, and how great they all are etc etc.

Preston was a fine example, they didn't shut up about for longer than the length of a cd.

just an excuse to not bother coming up with any material for a month or 2.

I'd rather listen to local radio, and hear the adverts by Big John from Correlia Cars and the like.

Can`t stand Radio 1, hate it with a passion Maybe it`s me being part of the "older" generation, I don`t know.
Rather listen to Radio 2, least I don`t get my eardrums burst by some of the so called talented "upto date" musicians.

Chris Moyles is superb - times when I laugh out loud on the way to work. Love his impressions.

Weird how he's so good on the radio but is naff when he appears on any telly slots.

Never taken to Scott Mills - so Radio 1 gets switched off when Chris is on his hols.

I find radio 1's music crap. Like I said, only the dance stuff is listenable.

Being a straight guy, I can admit this, Im comfortable with my sexuality, but I now listen to Gaydar radio via DAB / internet. Ok, tons of poof dj's, but the music is top notch. Great dance stuff, great mixes, and none of Sarah ***.

And yes I'm feeling old.

When I have the radio on I tend to listen to Radio 1 in the morning and Radio 2 for Steve Wright and Chris Evans in the afternoon.

Only things worse than chris Moyles (face for radio) & sara ***** would be Spoony and "DJ" Theakston. I am impressed at the talent the BBC can find under stones in ponds and then transmit.

Use to listen to Moyles all the time. But there is just nothing new now and it's so repetitive. Also, after reading his book he just seemed to be a bit of an ****. Do they still do that sodding Tarzan game - guess the Z-list celeb? Waste of my life, listening to that crap.

I've moved to my ipod and R2 in the mornings - Sarah Kennedy and then Wogan. R4 if I'm in a serious mood. Vernon Kay on R1 on a Saturday is good though. He's just seems to be a genuine nice guy.

Mainstream Radio 1 stuff is vapid ****e. Chris Moyles isn't half as funny as he thinks he is. Edith Bowman drives me up the wall with her constant reading out of texts (I mean, who the **** texts in a show and says "Great tune, reminds me of when I was 17 on the beach etc".. a ******, that's who).

Scott Mills, basically listens to Howards Sterns' show every night, and then copies his ideas.

JK & Joel have the most scripted show in existance ("Do you remeber that time.... "No you can't tell them that"... "I'm going to - In the next 30 Minutes".)


And don't get me started on Newsbeat - Written by ****wits, for ****wits. It's like The Sun in spoken form. They use words like "loads" and "quid" to be down the with the kids.

"Scientists say therre will be a solar ecplise today, loads o people are going to turn out to watch the moon go in front of the Sun, which is the great big yellow thing in the sky"

Mark & Lard were the last thing on Radio 1 to have any sort of humour, they were great.

Moyles sounds like exactly what he is, a self indulgent fat bloke with an army of people paid to laugh at him. I can't stand the man he's about as funny as stepping in a dog turd with no shoes on and only slightly less squidgy.

I actually cringe when they play adverts for him during the chart run down. Each time it reminds me that if that was the funniest thing on the show all week i'm glad i didn't waste time trying to listen.

Weirdly someone i thought i'd hate but was very good was Dominik Diamond on Xfm until they stupidly got rid of him for winning awards and rightly wanting more cash.
