Disaster Fund?

Disaster Fund?
With all this flooding around the country and the talk of no water/food in some areas i wonder why we have not heard of any disaster fund being set up?
Is it because it is in the UK and not some african country and so the bleeding hearts are not interested?
I remember we airlifted out water not so long ago to some country whose name escapes me however in my view condoms would be more appropriate.

I dont think any disaster funds have been set up for when a few Africans have to spend a night in a hotel......its normally the result of millions of them being dead.

Perhaps we could beam images of people having to slum it in relations 4 bedroom detached pads, or hotels, straight into the single room homes and shanty towns of the average African home. That will tug at thier heart strings and show them just how lucky they are.
..
Or do you just mean that we shoudl set up a disaster fund internally?

I am prepared to donate all of northamptons chavs to help clean up and get the place tidy - well i would do, but they already knicked a load of cars and all the pedalos from Billing Aquadrome to head up north and down south to loot the empty properties!

North or South, there are now a lot of people homeless with the flooding situation
A fund set up to help them with food and lodgings etc would not be a bad thing IMO

Why not just leave it to the insurance companies? That's what they're there for, all these people need is a supply of drinking water for a few days.
Yes, it's inconvinient and yes it must be horrible to have your home flooded, but let's face it, people had it far worse in the war and didn't need disaster funds and counselling.
All they need is a bit of good old British spirit!
