Anyone got an Alba freeview box?
Bit of a long shot this but here goes-just been given an Alba STB2N freeview box - does anyone have one of these on here with operating instructions as i have none and cant get it to work via remote control-it works via the buttons on front but not any other way-i know the remote mite be broke u say but seems unlikely i thought as remotes hardly ever break-have changed batteries etc) so just wondered if i have missed something simple.

That's funny - exactly the same thing has happend to my Daewoo box.
To see if the remote is broke point it at a digital camera or camera phone and press the buttons - that lets you see if it is sending the infra-red light.

just done that and remote is working -any idea's why it wont work freeview box
