Free laptop with orange broadband PCworld
Just saw the ad on tv saying that if you subscribe to orange broadband you will get a free laptop from PC world.
Not sure on the details, but for anyone after a cheap low spec laptop it could be what you are after.

I saw this last night too, £15 a month for Orange broadband and you get a free laptop. thanks for the reminder, was gonna have a gander at this. flog the laptop to pay for BB and carry on using my PC. free BB for a year providing theyre not restricting downloads.

There's a limited choice of laptops, but it doesn't seem like a bad deal.
It's £15 for a 2meg/2Gb download limit, or £20 for 8Meg/"Unlimited as long as you don't use more than we say you can".
It's a two year contract though, plus sky/talk talk/orange with a mobile etc offer "free" broadband, with a less than two year contract.
Personally, I went with sky, hoping that my sky engineer friend can give them a kick up the **** when the connection buggers up...

I dont need the crappy spec laptop theyre giving away so I'll stick with NTL for the time being.

Just been looking at that page. I don't see the option to upgrade to the faster Orange BB service. All it talks about is the starter package, which is just a joke.
The £20 512Mb laptop seems ok, I would want to look at it though. Even if it is just an emergency backup laptop in case your main business one goes down it could be worth it.
