Ace, through t'internet.

They provide an excellent claims service (I'm an insurance advisor).

I paid £13 for 10 days cover in France recently.

Insure & Go / TravelInsurance.co.uk

Same company but one site can be cheaper than the other. Have a good level of sports / activity cover in their standard annual policy

AMEX platinum charge card
Includes comprehensive travel insurance for you and your immediate family, and up to FIVE supplementary card holders and their immediate families too

Cost is £300/yr.....but coupled with all the other benefits (far far too many to list), it pays for itself soon enough...provided you travel more than once a year that is.

Also comes with the cheaper Amex gold card, although scaled down slightly.

Checked out a couple sites and in the end went with direct line as they seem to be a good insurer policy wise.

Good call - they're also good on claims service (the price differentials in this sector of insurance, so best to go with a company known for it's service).

I have used: Cheap Travel Insurance Quote | Cheap Holiday Insurance Quote | insurefor.com and they seem pretty good.

cheapest isn't always best. pay peanuts, get monkeys. check the policy carefully. check the exclusions. check the payable extras. check what 'which?' says. check the policy matches your needs.

if you don't need it for extreme sports, then i'd recommend norwich union direct.
