Default Ebay - Bidding Question

I am selling an Item on Ebay, It happends to be my car.
Ive had 5 bids from the same person over the last 24hrs
But they are all for the same amount of money £2,000??

Why would you bid the same amount of money 5 times over 24hrs ??

Personally right now I'd be looking at the users history - possibly when you alter your max bid it might register as a new bid?

They have bid differing amounts but no one else has bid against them. You can't raise the bar of any bid by bidding against yourself.

IE:

You have a car with a reserve of £10000 with a starting bid of £1k

I bid £1k, then think I'll up it with a bid of £1.5. The bid will stay at £1k until someone bids over £1k.

Exactly the same thing happening to me, what happens in this situation?

I have set a reserve of £90.00

Current bid is 99p.

Same person has entered 10 bids,

If the auction ends, and one of his bids was 90.00 does he pay that or does his bid remain the lowest unless someone ups the bid?

I suspect they are trying to find out what the reserve is, if the auction ends and the highest bid is below the reserve, nobody wins. I suspect once he bids above the reserve, it will show the first bid above that.

Remains his lowest unless he bids the reserve in which case it shows as £90 and 'reserve met'. People sometimes do it to see what the reserve is then cancel their bids.

isn't it when the bidder bids say to a higher amount so it automatically helps him stay at top if someone else tries to outbid him?

My mate just bought a car that had a private plate on it before the seller had removed it. What a looooong wait to get documents in the correct reg. Can cause grief if you are waiting for the log book.

Seller should have transfered the plate off before selling.
