Default My Brilliant Brain

Has anyone been watching this series on Channel 5? If not I'd highly recommend you catch up with it if you can and watch the future programmes as it has been very good.

Tonight was about a female grandmaster chess player. Her brain had been trained (by her father) to recognize chess scenario's in the same way it recognizes human faces and compares the to the library in long-term memory. Fascinating and very impressive especially when she played chess over the phone tracking the table entirely in her head. That just blew me away!!! Sometime my brother will phone me with a poker story and tell me what the flop came out - we are just talking 3 cards here and I struggle to reason out all the draws on the flop unless I write it down or can visually see it. Yet this lass can see every piece in its position in her head and still plan 'x' moves ahead. Skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilz!!!

She can play 5 games over the phone.

I wonder if her children will become as skilled?

It is an interesting series. Shame the boys won the maze challenge though.
