London bus stops - whats that on the roof ?
Due to having to travel from Waterloo on the 243 bus alot recently I have noticed on most bus stop roofs on the way that there is what seems to be a painted spud with cocktail sticks, ear buds and other things stuck in it to make it look like some sort of sputnik from outer space
Does anyone know what this is about or what they are for ?
Dave

LOL - hello Dave.
WTF are you doing on a bus - some sort of social experiment?
On a serious note, could they be the receivers for those digital displays that tell the prospective passengers how long they'll be stood shivering and damp until the next ram-packed full bus heaves into view?
Cheers,
Steve

Yeah thats where they are. First one i noticed was on the bus stop outside Turnmills, which i thought was from an over excited clubber. I have since seen them everywhere from the Strand to Old Street and up to Hoxton....will try and photograph one on Monday.....
Oh and how are you spider ??? Long time mate. My excuse for using the bus was that you see more "scenery" in the summer sun than on the tube. Looks like that backfired on me, still i have seen some lovely rain macs.
