R8 Test Drive
Old man's buying an Audi R8. Anyway, he's just got an invitation from Audi for a half day driving an R8 around Oulton Park next week.
Unfortunately he's flying to Canada on Monday so can't make it.
Luckily for me, they're allowing me to take his place
Monday 2nd July (morning session).
Can't wait !!!
Will report back on Tuesday with what I think of it.
Have been on an Audi day before (S4) and they never hold you back (rev wise) and you can really thrash the cars.
Did I say I couldn't wait?

Saw one in the metal for the first time on Saturday (Goodwood Festival Of Speed) Have to say I was a little underwhelmed by it. As mentioned it looks like a squat, longer, stretched TT.
Perhaps black isn't the best colour for it & it was nestled in-between some amazing looking supercars which I guess didn't help.
But....if I had £85-90k burning a hole and I would have a second hand Gallardo in a flash over the R8. Lambo or Audi....Lambo or Audi....mmmm
