For under 2k wots the best option for motorway drving for a year?

We've got an X reg Vauxhall Astra which has done really well over the last 6 years of ownership. Surely you can get one of those. Very comfortable for long trips.

 

Any more info and pics mate? Could be interest.

 

Oh, it's not for sale... Unless I can persuade the old man to buy me a new car now my Clio's gone! It's got 130K miles too.... It's an SRi, 35-40 mpg.

 

Sorry i thought u selling it.. How about focus compare to astra? modeo and passat in my mind too.

Passat will be expensive and have high mileage for that sort of price. Focus would be comparable, my mate's got a W reg one which is a diesel and it does her OK. Mid-sized car will be better - comfy, but not too thirsty.

 

Thanks for your advice, I think i'll choose bewteen focus and astra then.
