Anyone still using Rotring draughting pens on paper?

The reason I ask is that a sort-of hobby of mine was drawing with Rotring pens. I had a pad of very smooth paper, which did not allow the ink to "bleed" into it, no matter how slowly you drew.

It's now used up and my supplier says it no longer exists.

So what's available now for line drawings on paper with Rotring ink? I need up to size "A"( aka "A0"), although my original pad was "A0 plus", slightly over size.

Only, I live and work in the 21st Century. We have computers now.

Do you know what grade of paper it was? or type etc. Back in the old days I only used Tracing paper for drawing on, but we have our own paper suppliers, so I might be able to ask around for you.

There's loads of types of paper about, but more than likely the type you want will be on a roll (for plotters)

same im a draughtsman, although now called structural technician lol

been doing it for 8 years now, although moving onto running my own projects now, i havn't ever used a drawing board and wouldn't know where to start lol

I may have some old Rotring Pens if you want them?? In fact they could be new, just no longer required (not sure if they all got dumped, but you are welcome to any I find).

We used 0.18mm - 0.25mm - 0.5mm and 0.7mm generally .... which is what you use?

0.25mm is my weapon of choice for sketching

You could also use tracing paper as well as maker pad

when i was at college several years ago, i preferred to use either 0.25, 0.35 and 0.5mm rotring. that was for graphical work, which was my forte.

sort of given that up, as the paper i used didnt do my hanywork justice.

i just use pencils now, find it easier to tell them what to do than a pen.

isnt there an suplier via the internet that can help you alcazar?

I used Rotring pens all the time when I wasn't using AutoCAD.
My friend uses Rotring pens still... I'll ask him where he gets them from now

I used to use Bristol Board. It's got a smooth surface. I bought a small pad last year in our local art shop. You used to be able to buy it by the sheet. Might be worth trying artdiscount.co.uk.

That's where I get my pens from these days - I don't know if they are quite what you are looking for.

I use technical drawing paper - similar to marker paper but doesnt bleed as much
