Can anyone recommend any car parking near twickenham for the Genesis concert ?

I understand the area around twickenham is a big tow away zone during events at the stadium ?

When the rugby is on there are large open parking areas on the opposite side of the A316 where most walk over to the stadium but they tend to fill up quickly IIRC. You are right about the area surrounding the stadium being hot on parking and towing and this is the same for any event held at the stadium. There is a car park close to the entrance of the stadium which is relatively unknown but it can be a pig to get out of after an event.

I saw U2 there a couple of years ago.

We got there quite early and found a space in one of the side streets. In the end it was about a 10 minute walk to the Stadium.
