Wanted some parts for the smog monster today, so i rang the main stealer.. i wanted to know what ABS unit was fitted to the car Bosch or Lucas.

"We cant tell you that" said the main stealer, even we dont know

ok says I, i'll have a price on the pads then..

oh we'll need the Vin No. for that...says the stealer...

Vin No. duly given only to be told.... " that number isnt on our system" (wtf), and theres 5 different types of pad available depending on what ABS unit is fitted"

So how can i order parts then I asked

"Oh you need the P number on the sticker on the boot floor" says the stealer...

so what is the point of the Vin I asked the dealer.. if i have to refer to a sticker that may or may not be in the boot??

"we may be able to identify the parts by eye" he said next....

Really makes you want to place work with them dosent it...
