Unhappy K800i reliability issues?

Anyone on here got one of these phones....

I,m due to get my 4th on tuesday, as the other 3 have all failed in one way or another...

No.1 Wouldnt talk to the pc via cable or bluetooth

No.2 The alarm didnt work

No.3 The bluetooth has failed again....

The first time it had a repair (software reflash) some repair !!!!

the second was a supposed new phone... (apart from it had a repair label on the inside)

Now there saying they,ll send me a new one.... whats the betting its a refurb as well??

The guy in the shop tried telling me they were the most reliable phone he'd seen...

that would exclude the one being exchanged when i brought mine in the first time..and the colleague at work who went through three, before they gave him a different model....

anyone else have any issues with this phone or am i just uber unlucky?

Charge last one day --- if i,m lucky sometimes...

freezes on returning calls... crashes everytime it wants to sync with the pc... if it decides it will work, or what mode it wants... the manual is woefull, and dosent cover syncing in any detail,

and bluetooth is crap.. when and if it works

wont be buying SE on next upgrade

had mine over a month now, no problems.
buy would like better battery life when you have to use it to phone/text a lot in day.

also can't work out what my fone's memory/contacts/phone book setting should be on.
is it FROM PHONE or FROM SIM?
as I swapped mt sim from my old sony-Ericsson and transfered the contacts from SIM, but when on the new phone some of the persons Names/the last part part of the saved contacts name, is missing.
why is this?

my sister old phone N73 turned itself off and got very warm too, that went back three times. she has the N95 now and that seems fine.

but all phones have problems if you ask enough people.

For some reason this always happens when you pass on contacts from sim to new phone. Probably cos the sim doesnt have the features of memory the phone has. So its best to save contacts on your phone, not sim. If they are saved to your phone and you then transfer the contacts to the sim card you lose bits and pieces. The best way to get all details of your contacts is to pass them on to the new phone via bluetooth. That's if the contacts were saved on your phone memory and not the sim. To do this you would need to have a sim card in your old phone though to be able to get the phone to function.

After about 6 months my joystick always goes a bit funny. And I had a problem with one of the speakers but I think that was more to do with it getting wet a few times.

On the whole I think it is a good phone although it locks up if you have 100s of pictures and try to scroll through them to quickly.

But it does always charge easily. Plugs in and works. Camera works well. Never had a problem connecting it to any computer.

I,ve had one for around a year now. Had no problems whatsoever, which is unusual for a SE. Will be upgrading when I see one that takes my fancy.

I'm on my second . The first one just died after 3 months and was replaced.

I am also deeply unimpressed with the battery life. Otherwise it's OK. I liked the previous model better though.

Ours stopped charging last week ...... The answer as always is water ingress. Isn't it about time mobile phones came with a decent IP rating. People use them in the rain after all

I have had mine for over 12 months and i havent had any of the above problems

I know a few people with this phone as well and they havent had any problems either.

Mine is with O2, i know some of the other phone companies load there own software onto the phone this might be the problem?!?!?

Never had any real problems. Plays up sometimes when using with TomTom 910 as handsfree, causes it to lock up/freeze. Apart from that, never had any problems in 6 months.

My last 3 handsets have been SE. My current phone is a K800i that I've had since October (including 4 months in Afghanistan!), and other than the screen being a little more prone to scratches than I'd like (but I'm not that careful with it either!), I have no complaints about the phone at all.
