Licence issue
A friend of mine who has been driving for many years was pulled the other day and ask to show his details, as he couldn't they gave him the normal producer and he carried on.
When he got home he couldnt find his licence anywhere so he went to the police and asked them to just check on their system... the police and the DVLA have no record of him ever passing his test.. although he did and sent away for the carded licence... so my question is.. what will happen ?

So he doesn't know when he passed his test, he has no paperwork to prove it and DVLI have no record of him? What do you reckon?
p.s. - Thanks for posting this - just realised that it is 20 years tomorrow since I passed my test...... thats feking ages

Every UK test pass is put on the system.
I suppose there's human error at the input point......
His best bet is to produce his docs regarding his insurance and MOT and produce a supporting letter detailing when he took the test, where and when.
If he was given a licence then he's on the system. The check could have been wrong - as in the checker putting in a spelling error, or him having common name.
The PNC system often ignores names that are common unless the exact details are given.
