Serious question for everyone..
I dont know if this has been covered in any of the other threads on the subject but im curious....
This is not an ANTI Maddie thread or anything, so please lets not get talking about the whole matter of what happened.
The website Help find Madeleine McCann took over 125 million hits in under a week. The figure is probably far greater now...
So the question... would it not be an idea to widen the search a little, and add to is any other children going missing in the UK etc. With so much attention is the website not wasting a perfectly good opportunity to raise awareness of OTHER missing children.
I dread to think what the UK figure alone is in the past month.

Maddie is one of.... SEVENTY THOUSAND !! who go missing each year.
To put it in perspective.... 32 have gone missing since this thread started 4 hours ago !
Or 6882 since Maddie went missing...
One single picture on a site as popular as the findmaddie site could be enough to put 2 and 2 together and get just one of these children back safe.
YES most will return or make their whereabouts known, but even if 1% dont... thats 60 children since maddie went missing that will never be seen again. 120 parents out there missing their children for the rest of their lives.
There are almost 7000 families out there now, missing their loved one, receiving no financial help, no media help, and having to carry their lives on as if nothing were wrong.....
A link could change just a couple of those peoples lives and fortunes forever.

I would love to be proven totally wrong on this.
Nice to see them staying in the Hilton too. I know its probably a publicity gesture, but whats the chances of any of the other families of a missing child being given a room for free, without bringing a media frenzy with them.
Too many things can be taken out of context I guess.
Main thing is...
Since I started this thread, the total of missing children in the UK has risen by 40. Anyone know any of their names ? Or know what they look like ?

Where's BEN NEEDHAM he vanished from outside a farmhouse on the Greek island of Kos nearly 16 years ago, when he was nearly 2 he has a strawberry type birthmark in the nape of his neck, lets get a pic of this and plaster it all over the interrnet and see what that leads if any that brings in ?

Does that include kids (and what ages does this supposed 70,000 cover) who get reported to the police as missing but turn up unharmed a few hours later? If so, what proportion of the 70,000 turn up eventually?
Could you please tell us your source of the 70,000 figure and provide a bit more information please?

Totally mate !
Im seriously thinking about launching my own awareness mission.
Get forums and other large web communities to recognise and link to the missing childrens sites, RSS feeds maybe, with random cases being selected displaying a picture and some info....
Its not too much to ask is it? And takes very little effort to participate.
People have shown a true passion to finding a missing child, maybe its time to share and spread that passion to the plight of the other missing kiddies.
The total now is 48 children... since the start of this thread.
How many more? 48 and not one of us knows ONE of their names.
