Need help with new idiot box purchase
Need some help with a TV purchase.
We are moving the living room around and have decided to get a panel TV.
Not bothered on resolution just as long as it looks as good as our current sony 32".
We've looked at 37 and 40 and it seems LCDs are easier to get in this size and I'm leaing towards the Samsungs as they seem to be favoured choices.
I would prefer Plasma due to it supposedly being best for TV and movies over LCD which is supposed to be best if its hooked to a computer.
It will be opposite the window with blinds but someone said Plasmas reflect sunlight worse than LCD.
I will hook it up to the PC but that will be for mostly movies with a little game play so I doubt screen burn will be an issue. I can get the Panasonic TH42PX70 for £750 delivered but I think 42 is going to be too big.
We got a leaflet from currys which you can fold out to certain sizes and although it fits on the wall OK but I'm still not sure. We will be sitting about 8ft away at the most and I'm not too sure about it dominating the front room.
Anyone got any tips for sizeing?

Well I've pretty much decided on the Panasonic its just hard to judge in the shop what it will look like in the front room.
When we first got our 32" we put it on the stand we bought for it which was quite tall to house all the AV stuff and we both just sat there for a while thinking we'd made a mistake with the size.
I suppose we'll get used to the size eventually.
