Default Long Term Weather Forecast

Just heard on the TV that this summer is going to be crap. So much for global warming, anyone got a link to a weather forecast that is long term?

Don't get me started on the BBC's 5 day weather forecast. (if it was the BBC that you were mentioning Dave)

Utter pish.

As for longer term ... a quote from the BBC's site

Monthly forecasting
The weather beyond about a week ahead stretches even the most experienced weather forecaster. Complex numerical weather forecast models from the Met Office and the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF) are run many times for the month (and season) ahead to build up a picture of the likelihood of different weather types affecting the UK.
Met office slightly better (as you would hope) but not much better

Wasn't this summer supposed to be the hottest for 30 years?

Still it's not as if we are basing the entire worlds economy in the next century on the ability to predict changes in climate or anything.

Oh, wait.

Weather forecast discussion

Some of the forecasting is genius. They basically say - July, August are going to be warm, perhaps hot, with some rain.

It's like they have a time travel machine - I mean you couldn't possbily make that up.

Because I cycle commute 20 miles a day I'd consider myself a relatively keen weather forecast observer (mainly for windspeeds) and since this silly cow Tori Lacey

BBC - Weather Centre - About BBC Weather - Biographies - Tori Lacey

started, it's been even worse than normal. She'd be lucky if she could forecast when night was going to end and day was going to start....

TBH it is worse than last year.

This time last year was the start of the June heat wave What a month that was. Lovely weather, cold beers, and watching the World Cup. Bl00dy marvelous

I want another heat wave, and I want it now.

Metcheck.com - Global Weather Forecasts - Weather Feeds - Live Data - Long Range Weather Forecasts still wins by the forecast wars by a huge margin.
