Default Clutch problem ???

Hi guys.

The other halfs Toyota Yaris has developed a strange noise. It's a kind of high pitched humming.

I have only noticed it when reversing whilst the clutch has not been fully let out.

I put her in 5th at 30mph and floored the accelerator and there was no sign of the clutch slipping.

Any ideas what it is?

Should I be worried??

Thanks for your help.

In which case.....may I suggest you let the clutch out

On a more serious note.....Sounds like a slightly worn clutch release bearing or similar..and no I wouldn't be worried

Anyway, it's the other halves car so more to the point, how fast does it go in reverse and how fast in 1st gear ?

Sounds like the release bearing, usually nothing to worry about just a pain. Get it changed with the clutch when it goes.
