Cheapest place for claybars
#2
I wouldn't try the cheapest clay bar as a first attempt. Claying requires paitence and a bit of technique - neither of which will be forthcoming if you're using poor quality clay. All you'll find is that it ends up either breaking apart or binding altogether.
I use the Blackfire poly clay which I get from Polished Bliss who I've always had good service from. Polished Bliss - Professional Vehicle Detailing - Services, Products and Advice

Don't forget that you'll need a good lubricant (oo-er) for which I use the Blackfire lubricant (Blackfire Clay Lubricant)
However - if those prices are a bit too eye-watering, I started off with the Meguiars Quick Clay package (Meguiars Quik Clay) which is pretty good and only about £11. Should last for a good few clays of an average sized car - so about a year for most people.
Once you've tried claying, you'll never polish or wax without it. It's amazing how much it picks up from your paint, even when you've just thoroughly washed your motor!

I use the Meguires one twice a year, very good and gets great reviews. Halfords stock em. As mentioned the amount of dirt it picks up from your washed and "clean" car is amazing.
