RAC Trackstar
What a joke
I have had my car for 10 months now and still not got anything from RAC to say the tracker is registered to me. Just tried to phone again, in preparation for York and they don't work weekends. I'm at a loss what to do next. Emails haven't worked either.
I actually got a phone call on holiday last year, to tell me my car was moving. It was my old one
Any ideas, I am sick of being passed from pillar to post

I went through a similar thing with them last year.
Emails are a waste of time so its a case of phoning their customer services to which i think they have only one operator based on my experiances.
Happy to take your money though.
I asked them to test mine last year but they wanted me to tell them where the car was before they would tell me where they thought it was.
Totally pointless exercise in my opinion so demanded they tell me first as i am a paying customer who wanted to be satisfied that the system was working.
Best of luck.
Nik.

Did you actually register the car with them? When I did mine I had to register within 90 days, if not I would have had to pay a re-connection fee of around £150 to re-activate it.

On the Monday, after I bought the car, Anthony. Have been trying to get confirmation ever since. No luck. I am worried in case it is not registered to me and my old car still is

Mmmm. I got my new certificate etc through the post within a week IIRC.
I just hope they haven`t re routed the call centre to India
All I can suggest is trying to ring them again, or maybe send a letter by registered post. E-mails these days are rarely picked up IMO.
Sorry can`t be of any more assistance.

Sounds to me that they are not worthy of your business. No way would I pay for a service like that. Its been so long that your renewal fee is coming up no doubt, just don't bother imo.
Other points are:-
1) Most thieves capable of overcoming your security will also be able to detect and remove your tracker.
2) People out for a joyride are out for just that...to thrash the car to within an inch of its life. Assuming the tracker works, you get the car back. But one week later when the gearbox clutch and engine pack up you have no leg to stand on
If mine gets nicked I never want to see it again, ever. But that's just me
