SATNAV is the problem......
..and they say women are safer drivers!!
BBC NEWS | Wales | South West Wales | Sat nav driver's car hit by train
How anyone can just blindly follow an electronic device without considering what or where she might be driving into is beyond me.

I don't think her satnav is to blame, so much as her sheer stupidity.
She came up to a gate with a red circle on it - hmm, I wonder where you might see one of those?
She managed to read some instructions, but didn't twig. She then opened one gate and parked her car between the two sets of gates on the railway track!! And then still didn't twig what she was doing, until a train came along.
I know there aren't many crossings like this in the country and it was dark, but how numb-brained would you have to be to not realise that you'd just parked your car on a railway line?

She left her car between the two gates??!?!?!?
I don't get why she didn't open both gates so she could drive straight across - if she couldn't see the line with the headlights on (presumably full beam since she was in the middle of nowhere. she shoudn't have been driving anywhere!
Gives us a bad name!
