Horizon...from what I read in the papier..
A programme about the biggest particle accellerator ever built, big dockoff seven billion $ elctromagnet, in Geneva. Scientists will slam atoms together at warp speed to recreate the big bang. If they get it right, they learn allsorts about allsorts of scientific stuff, if they get it wrong the earth becomes a masive black hole!

I take it this is a live show then chip, and that in the next hour we will become a black hole
If it is filmed, then they got it right
In case they get it wrong, I hope they only do it at the end of the show, that gives us about 58 minutes of earth left

Flash, we've only got 5 months, 27 days, 12 hours, 6 minutes, and seventeen seconds before we turn into a massive afro-carribean cullinary clout!

Yes, I know there's a big particle accelerator under the French / Swiss border, and they smash protons into each other, but what will they be looking for, and how do they look for it? Kept showing ultra-wide-angle shots of the detector, but didn't tell us anything about it!
Quite frustrating, but sadly, not unexpected these days.......

I'm sitting right on top of the ******! Gigantic construction job and something to behold...about the comment that Horzion dumbs down it's programs, I for one, am grateful! I tried reading a load of stuff on the web about what they are doing and I got lost in amongst the cryogenics, magnets, protons, particles etc. Last night I started to understand a lot more. Big bang? Bring it on!
