Accommodation near Wembley
Am going to Wembley in July to see Metallica & wondered if anyone had any recommendations or suggestions as to the best place to stay after the gig?
Preferably ~£50-£60 for twin room. Don't mind having to get a short cab/tube ride but don't know London at all me being a Northern Monkey so recommendations/suggestions appreciated.

I stayed at the Wembley Plaza when I went to see New Order there in November... 2 minute walk to the arena, clean rooms (ours was fine) late bar (london prices) very practical
Booked through here - excellent
Wembley Plaza - London
I even left a lacoste jacket in the room when I left the next day due to major hangover, and they sent it back the same day first class post

Most hotels near the venue will double thier rates for a big event so I would reccomend staying in the Cresent hotel in harrow very close but cheap rates and 5 minutes walk from the station

The hotel I quoted wont charge double for Metallica concert, in a smilar vein to them not charging double when I went
It has ample parking and is 150 yards from the venue
I'm sure for FA Cup finals some places may up their prices, but the likes of the Wembley Plaza just tend to sell out early
Still, wherever you stay enjoy the gig

Cheers for the help lads. Not booked anywhere yet... Just found out the concert is the day after the Live Earth gig so hotels are a bit thin on the ground
Ibis >£100 - Still rooms left though so still on the list
Premier Travel Inn - Fully booked
Wembley Plaza - Fully booked
Holiday Inn - Fully booked
Crescent Hotel - Fully booked
How far is Heathrow away in a cab? Plenty of cheap hotels available around there but is a few miles away. Not worth it if it's gonna cost £50 in cab fares though.
Any other suggestions? Missus suggested taking a tent! May be an option at this rate LOL

Travelodge Wembley. Secure parking for £5 per night, not too far from Wembley Stadium,(short cab/bus) book early for the £26 super-saver. I stayed there last month. Very basic but you only want somewhere to kip. Very easy to find from the M1 north.

I stayed in Slough once and caught a train to Wembley which took about 20mins...
I was drunk though so it might have been much longer than 20mins... FA Trophy Final 1998 *hiccup*
