How interesting was the ringing scam! Shows you really do need to do your homework when it comes to VIN numbers.
I thought the Lad who bought the Audi was funny! Three and a half grand for a 2005 A3 FSI! I laughed my *** off! Guess he won't be getting that back then!
Felt sorry for the bloke in the van, played by the rules but lost in the end.

Tracker won again with the Focus ST though! Hadn't even dried off when they found it!

Interesting re the ringing

As for the focus... I wish it would show more re the following investigation... So they find the car in a private garage... I needed to see them go into the pub and question the owner and staff... Then if no charges could be brought, tell the publican and his locals that they are being watched... They needed to get forensics into the car asap...
Just seeing the car being taken back to the owner didnt cut it for me... Someone needed to burn for the crime...

As for the lad with the Audi What a wombat!

For guys involved in the car crime squad, they dont seem to know that much about cars. Upon finding the focus:

"its not the top of the range RS, its an ST. Still a quick car though"

Eh? The ST is top of the range and the RS hasnt been made for ages. It also has more power than the RS!

just because the RS isnt made it does mean it isnt out there to be nicked - these are police, not internet car forum geeks.

He implied that the ST is lower down in the range and quite a bit slower. It isnt, so he was wrong You dont need to be an internet geek to know that.

Turn your lights off and shoot up a side street, or carry on driving without raising suspicion, the wrong choice could cost you £3.5k

yeah, but if he didn't know the car was dodgy, why did he turn his lights of, lol

to much paper work and red tape involved to get anyone arrested.

As per usual great programme spoilt by the summing up at the end off every episode, is there ever going to be an episode where the punishment fits the crime ??

the young chap knew it was a dodgy motor as mentioned earlier why else would he have turned the lights off and went up a side street, even the coppers questioning him knew he was not telling the truth exactly why the car was invesagated further !!!

seventeen year old, bet he was fully insured for a car like thats as well ??!! thats if he even had a licence ?!!

funny enough never did mention anything about this only that he lost the car !!

the other lads in dads bmw, pity there was no mention made about the poor blokes car that was fortunately there to stop him from flipping the car when it rounded the corner.

as I say love watching these programmes but again the summing up at the end off every episode does kinda wind me up slightly especially knowing that in the majority off case a speeding fine etc is normally more punishment than the average car thief gets.

RANT OVER !!!!!!!!!

Yes the Toyota driver's Dad decided not to press charges, but what about the innocent party who's car was smashed at the end of the chase, surely he could have taken the little sh*t to the cleaner's.

I think the producers often only put in the 'action' bits as they feel most viewers are only interested in chases and crashes - when in reality most people want to feel some sort of justice is served and want to know more

As regards the guy who took his dads car - surely if dad decided not to press charges (so no offences for TWOC) and he may (or may not) have been insured (so possibly no offence) the police could have strung him up for dangerous drivein/driving without due care/failing to stop?

Im glad i live hundreds of miles away from Manchester!
As for PC "IM THE BEST DRIVER EVER", saying the RS was top dog then the ST, that was in the previos model and at the moment the ST is actually the fastest production Focus!
