Angry Ticketmaster rip off merchants

Bit of a rant...

25 quid per ticket - fair enough.
4 quid "service" charge - ok, bit of a scam, used to be called booking fee but bite the bullet and take it.

Then it comes to delivery..... 2 pounds and 75 pee for delivery by standard post, bit steep for an envelope, stamp and some minimum wage dude to stick it in the post box. So what's the alternative.... email delivery so you can print them yourself - WOW, fantastic idea, that must bee free right....?

WRONG - TWO POUNDS 75 pee again!!! WTF????????

So I book my own tickets, print my own tickets and have to by £6.75 in service and "postage"....???? FRO

Exactly - If they'd said 32 quid a ticket, no additional charges and free postage, I would think I was getting a bargain

I remember going to the NIA for something, and buying tickets for another event while I was there. Had to pay a handling fee for picking them up there and then!

You cant put it on the ticket as when you are promoting a gig you dont want your gig to be seen as overpriced. The lowest advertised entry cost is what you want to be showing when promoting.

Promoters get a kickback of the booking fee, so you chose the one that gives you the biggest kickback...

Stinks, which is why I never buy tickets for others' concerts! Esp when you are lining the pockets of the already mega-rich...

Its a good business to be in mind - great cashflow and zero risk. Much preferable to promoting which is the opposite.
