Has anyone got any knowledge of planning regs in relation to garden buildings? I want to build a timber summer house in my back garden and can't work out if I need planning permission or not. I've spoken to the local planning office (Bearing in mind I live in a national park) and even they haven't given me a straight answer. Anyone built something like this previously?

Oops, planning permission, I just built mine, judging by the regs I am ok though.

Cheers mate, I think the national park location is going to be the main stumbling point. The volume of the structure is going to be more than 10m3, so I think I'll apply rather than leave it to chance and have some fool saying I need to take it down.
