Sixty-three-year-old Richards also told NME of his disdain for modern bands, calling Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines and Bloc Party "a load of crap".

A simliar (though less macarbre) story
I came home from college one day and my dad was polishing his Golf GTI, he left his polishing off rag on the bonnet, I noiced a distinctive 'Y' pattern on on the beige 'rag' and investigated further, it was a pair of being Y fronts with lighter beige trim, so I asked my dad why he was using his pants to polish the car...
'Theyre not mine'
Obviously appalled at the suggestion he would use his own underpants to polish the car.
'Who's are they then'
'Theyre yer grandads'
(My grandad had died some weeks earlier of a heart attack)
'How come you are using his pants to polish the car, it a bit wierd'
'Theyre clean !"
"Yeah but dont you think its a bit odd'
Now my dad looked a bit upset that I was going on about it and I realised I had reminded him.
'No, its what he would have wanted'
We both pissed ourselves at this as my grandad was also a car enthusiast.
