Wedding Proposals
Hi Peeps,
mate was bugging me about ideas for wedding proposals so told him I'd ask here to get him off my back - seeing as it's the font of all knowledge lol
So far he's got:
Balloon Ride for 2
Scuba Diving (not in a pool)
Top of Eiffel Tower - not too sure if this is possible?
Some balcony on a hotel in Paris overlooking the Eiffel - Louis the something hotel?
Any ideas?
I told him the balloon idea is a good one but he's not come across any where it's just 2 people and the balloon operator - anybody know of any?
The Scuba Diving is a difficult one too because a lot of places offer it in a pool which is no good It needs to be in the open water if possible.
Not too sure of the Eiffel tower ideas - are they do-able?
ANy ideas, pointers, hints greatly appreciated - I'll credit you guys with the suggestions !!

Over a family-sized bargain bucket of fried chicken and a 2l bottle of white lightning (Somebody's got to do DCI Gene Hunt's job when he's not online!)
Sensible answer:
Walk her down 5th Avenue in New York, stop outside Tiffany & co. and ask if she would like to choose her engagement ring from inside?

If it's true love, he could do it in a sewerage plant with a ring pull for a ring
In December, I took Mrs Abdabz to be, to a very swanky hotel for a post xmas/pre new year break in Wales... (awwww)
On our first night, before our evening meal, I proposed in the room and the mad woman said yes...
I had bought the ring in advance, albeit completely the wrong size... I raided her jewellery box when she was at work and grabbed what I thought was a middle finger ring... Took it to the jewellers, chose the engagement ring myself and thought I was lucky that it matched in size the ring I had brought with me.
Turned out I had taken a thumb ring with me But the jeweller did a same day size change and all was well when we returned...
The whole idea, venue, holiday, ring everything was all mine. No-one knew. I didnt even ask the father in law to be (because I knew I had his blessing)...
We nipped back from Wales the day after she had said yes to tell the family face to face. Her dad said to me "about bloody time" ... We then went back to the hotel to enjoy the last couple of days there and celebrate in style
I liked what we did, because we can go back to the same room at the same hotel annually (or whatever) drink all the bollinger in the place and relive the whole romantic experience...
Abdabz is leaving now, for he has gone all mushy

Lol - I'm liking the suggestions guys - Keep 'em coming!!!
The New York and Tiffany's & Co idea is but won't it look a bit **** when he gets over there and can only afford one for about 1k from the shop?
As an aside - how much would should/would you spend on an engagement ring? I checked on the Tiffany and Co website and their prices start at £690 !
thanks guys
