Which car for £25k ?
All
Another one of these threads I am afraid ! But looking for a car up to £25k. Open to any suggestions but must be fast / fun / a little different.
I have had Subaru's in the past, so don't really want another Scooby or an EVO, great cars though they both are.
I have been looking at Exige's, £24/5 will buy a nice 04 plate car. But any thoughts people have on this would be great - I dont need rear seats so it can be an open car & it would only be used 2-3 times a week for local fun so luxury I don't need either.
Thanks for any help.

Keeping to Lotus, a Honda typeR converted S1 Elise, should be good for 200-210 bhp. Would cost around 16k. You can also supercharge it I think to 300 bhp if you want to dent the rest of your budget.

Good point, think classic as well, if not a daily driver (even some are) how about somehting a bit different from all the other stuff on the roads.
Get yourself a copy od Classic and Sportscar and have a look at the classifieds.
25K should see you in somehting fun and fast and not the same as everyone else is driving!

That was mine. For an old poser like me it was fantastic. Perfect for a high days and holidays fun car.
But what I really want

That is a very pretty car!
It is too easy these days (i do it myself, it was your comment and link that made me think classic again) to think about new or newish cars when there are so many useable classics, usable to different degrees, but some fantastic classics cars out there other than modern stuff.
One of the most fun cars i ever owned (in the early 90's) was a 1971 AH Sprite MK4,
had a Cosworth (worked over) 1275 engine put out around 120BHP.
pretty standard apart from that, in BRG with a red interior and chrome wires.
It was quick, not stupidly but enough to handle most GTI's around at the time.
It was just so much fun to drive and a hobby as well keeping in in tip-top condition.
Could leave it anywhere, always got admiring looks and comments and no one ever felt the need to slash the roof or scratch the paint.
