Is it just poor people who think a cheapskate TV gives a good picture?
I don't even need to see a review to know it will be crap. It's cheap for a reason.
Why waste your money?
And to think people will come to your house, and you will show off your new TV.

Its just not worth buying cheap TV's because the technology and models move so fast ( bit like PC's ) You buy the best you can get at the time just to give yourself half a chance for when the new models come out. Unless of course you actually want a sh1tty TV

Not saying that this is the case, but perhaps this is the budget allowed....
Not everybody can afford £1000+ TVs
Plus the circumstances for the TV purchase might be a big factor..... eg, it's going in a room for the kids, or in the kitchen/conservatory (in other words not the main viewing room)
It *could* be that as RB5 said, the technology's moving so fast, get a comparatively cheap one now, and wait for it all to level out a bit.
Also bear in mind that one person's "sh1tty TV" is someone else's acceptable TV. This is just the same in Audio - most of my audio kit is studio stuff - I'm a snob and have VERY high standards. Other's are happy with a Micro-system.....
Just an alternative slant....

My Pioneer 436 XDE cost me £2900 by the time i added the speakers and wall mount when it first came out. Now the 7 series models have come out and are alot cheaper still. What does give me pleasure though is seeing what other people have bought ( especially LCD's ) and that my picture quality is far superior. Only the high end Panasonic's and LG's can match it!

Davyboy,
This tv is for a bedroom to replace a 2 yr old JVC that we are moving into another bedroom. The main viewing tv in the lounge is a 42 plasma, which is hooked up to a hd dvd, xbox 360 and a sony av reciever with 6.1 sound system. This is all in a brand new 4 bedroom house so you can ram your "poor" statement up your a$$
I just posted this to see if the specs are good for this tv. As stated above it is for a bedroom where it will be wall mounted along with a cheap wall mounted dvd player. The tv will get minimal viewing, it is just there for when I watch footy on the main set and I send her upstairs!!
