I remember that old fat Pitman bird at the "Grand" National when there was a bomb scare and they interviewed her afterwards. She made it clear that all she cared about was her horses...
If she cared about her horses that snooty moose wouldnt have taken them to aintree in the first place... Looks like it's her who is the dozy mare....

I was trying to find out why the horse had a bloody mouth and if thats the reason it died after being pulled up in the race.

So how exactly is this related to SNet, I'm sure they may be a few people here who follow horse racing but I expect it's a minority. We have expensive cars to run and can't be wasting our cash on gambling, it's well known that it's a mugs game, the bookies always win in the end. If you want your answer surely you're better off posting on a horse racing related bulletin board.

Perhaps you could even email the stables / trainer and ask what happened.

Horses die all the time in Horse Racing, if you were bothered about animal welfare you surely wouldn't be watching the sport.

That's my girlfriends view and I respect that, I would find it odd if she suddenly said to me, can we watch the horse racing this afternoon!
