Somewhere to go on Sunday afternoon?
Within an hours drive of Northampton preferably...
Nice day promised, wanna drive in the Scoob, picking your brains on nice places to go for a 33/23 year old couple (Serious suggestions only please!)

Want do you like to do?
Shopping - Birmingham or Milton Keynes?
Walk round Oxford?
Stratford upon Avon?
Skiing at the Snowdome, ice skating in Milton Keynes or Cov?
Lots to do, give us a clue...

Ok, you want more info!
Ange is 23, that's my wife. I'm 33, huge motorsport fan, Ange is also.
Shopping? love MK, always there at Nando's, Starbucks and Borders!
Been to Oxford many times, love it too, though I thought it was a bit Chavvy last time!
Stratford Upon Avon - Also love it, been many times, though I can only visit that Butterfly Farm so many times in any lifetime!
Skiing at Sno Dome - Went skiing in Saalbach over Xmas so the dome feels a bit small now!
Ice skating? Hmmm, thinking...
Clare, you are spot on with your suggestions, but need something similar to above, somewhere else if you see my drift!
Any motorsport event would also go down well also!

I do live in Northampton, so I know the area
Erm, not sure about motorsport stuff. Check Silverstone, Donington and the Pod to see what's coming up.
We enjoyed ice skating - went to Cov, but it is full of kids on a Saturday afternoon which I suppose is to be expected

I see you do! I remember your car in Riverside retail Park on that horrible Wet Sunday afternoon we had a few weeks back! Very nice, great plate!
We had a 172 before the Subaru so were checking yours out! Especially as I am looking at getting a 182 for Ange again. I see you visit the Ring also? Look out for my Scoob, WR Blue STi Bug Eye with Ring stickers on the front doors and boot.
I'll suggest Ice Skating but somewhere outside would be better. Are there any other favourite haunts in our area you visit?

You'll have to let me know what your plate is, on the quiet like, cos there are sooo many scoobs around Northampton now. If you're interested in the Ring you should come and join our forum - link at :: northloop.co.uk :: we're not playing games :: nurburgring galleries and more ::.
As for stuff to do, outside usually means a walk in Harlestone Firs which is about a mile from us, or Salcey Forest - have you checked out the treetop walk up there? It's cool. Walk round Pitsford if you're feeling energetic, or I understand, though not been, there are some nice lakes around the Irthlingborough area.
If you've got a kite, Dunstable downs is not that far away really. Go on the top road and you get some good winds up there...
I don't know whether going up to Derbyshire is within an hour, but there must be loads of stuff to do up there!
Failing that, get on a ferry, drive through Belgium and go to the Ring again

Hehe! Tempting! We were gonna go over easter, but when we worked out we'd be the only ones there we didn't book! Kinda look like Billy No Mates! ALl the lads are going in May this year and that's too near LeMans for me, business commitments and all that!
I think we are fitting new carpets instead (Whoop de frikkin' do! )
Irthlingborough actually sounds really good, I love the forest there. I could sneak the mountain bikes in and blat around or get spotted by the moaning ranger and walk it! Some good roads round there too. Having said that weather looks crap this morning, foggy and all, so lets see what the weekend brings...
Reg plate? You have PM...

Quite a few nice walks if it's sunny. Salcey forrest and Harlestone firs as already mentioned and plenty of pubs near for some grub/beer after. Also Sywell (old reservoir) and Irchester (old Ironstone quarry,Sydney harbour bridge is built from Iron Ore from Irchester!) country parks are nice to walk around. You could pop upto Sywell aerodrome as well to their bar (the aviator) and see some interesting aircraft coming and going - Various well to do folk and airline pilots with weekend playthings fly in and out. There is a steam train museum at Irchester too that is interesting and they often run up the engines
