All these TV phone scams 'coming to light'
A very long time ago, 1996 to be precise, I did a bit of work at a local radio station.
They had a few ring in competitions going, one was........
"I'll take caller number 1152"
Now seriously, did the callers expect someone to answer 1151 calls before getting a winner???
It was my job to answer the calls and say,
"caller number one, thank you"
next line
"caller number forty three, thank you"
next line
"caller number seventy seven, thank you"
and so on and so on.........
"caller number one thousand one hundred, thank you"
Basically along the lines of one, two, miss a few, ninety nine, one hundred.
Another competition was pick an envelope, G,N,E or R.
There was one envelope, usually a bit of fan mail that was opened on air, Never mind a choice of four prizes, there was one and it was what ever piece of tat that was lying around given to the radio station for free.
Have people really been falling for these TV phone scams
I've never rang them, thats for sure.

They all put their liitle hands up telling us they had no idea !!!!!!!!!! And we are to believe them? The public should demand 100% all call money paid ,to be returned.
But then again if your stupid enough to watch such stupid programmes , then your stupid enough to pay !!!
