Exchanged contracts
House is officially sold now, moving out on Friday next week into rental
Hope to exchange on our purchase in a fortnight!
I can see how this is supposed to be one of the most stressful activities.

Feel for you, Matt. I've bought a plot of land and have just had the plans drawn up for planning permission, sending them in to the relevant authorities tomorrow, they need to be approved by the beginning of April so that a hole can be dug for the cellar which arrives second week in April, the cellar needs to "settle" for three months, which is handy because the house I've ordered arrives on the back of a truck in the middle of June, they then have to work on it for two weeks until it's ready for me to move in, which is handy because we have to move out of the place we're in at the moment on the 1st of July. Crapping my pants? You betchya

We have been so nervous as last time we moved 8 years ago, the chain collapsed the day before completion. We were supposed to exchange/complete on same day, and the people we were buying from pissed off their purchase so much they point blank refused to sell to them. Then they asked us for more money as they couldn't find anything within budget
