Economic Collapse on the way?
#3
One of the EM funds I am in fell almost 6% in total yesterday & today . Its now only 20% up from when I jumped in during the big dip last May. Which exactly why I shall be buying a chunk more tomorrow. Buy the dips & sell the rallies (they say)
If I'm wrong on this then I'll come back with my tail between my legs and tell you all about it

Yeah just like you do.......not
I mean you come on here starting a thread with:
with nothing to back it up, no news reports, links, etc. Of course an economic collapse is on the way, it's just a matter of when. This year, next year, five years time etc. who knows. One thing is for certain you certainly don't

The economic collapse will certainly happen. People seem to be thinking that it wont happen because this boom period has been sustained for so long, and those naive people will certainly be proved wrong in the future!
We've seen plenty of jitters recently, but things will nosedive at some point. Whats different this time is even though at the end of the boom period of the cycle 10's of thousands are going bankrupt, significant numbers having homes repossessed.... usually things that happen in the bust period, so i expect a lot more debt lemmings will be in for a serious battering in the next few years.

You sound just like our MD. His first words to me were "Theres some excellent buying opportunities today"
lol
Thing is those that bought when it was over 6 in 99/00 were only just getting close to getting thier original investment back. Odds are its just a correction - wouldn't go stockpiling for tinned food and bog roll just yet

Just for info., my main EM fund is just over 7% up since I 'bought the dip' a month and a half ago Who dares wins, Rodney..

PSL,
Now that Flash has increased the National Debt to such large proportions, do you think that the interest rates will go up to even more than happened during the last world recession and do you think that the country will escape serious bankruptcy with nothing to fall back on when his house of cards collapses?

Funny how the papers are reporting a six year high on the footsie
i think our esteemed () chancellor should foot the bill if it goes **** up, after all wasnt it teflon who promised transparancy and accountablity
the sad fact is if it does go **** up, he'll walk away with a cast iron handshake, and a nice index linked.. pension....
wouldnt it be nice though if the next gov, passed a law to prevent this....
The "If you screwup, you get nowt" law.. and then they could screw the usless bunch
