Thumbs up which mower is the best one?

Shop for McCulloch 3540P - Petrol Lawn Mower. at Argos.co.uk

or

Shop for Flymo Quicksilver 40S. at Argos.co.uk

i dont want to spend a lot on a petrol mower so i have found these two. which one would be the best buy for the money, they both have the same engines

anyone?

i didnt think about that, has the other one?

they have the same engines so the differences are mainey cosmetic. the flymo has 5 cutting heights from 25-70ml and the yello one is 20-55ml. i dont know why i would want my grass as long as 70ml anyway. what else is there thats different

BTW

I thoroughly recommend Greenthumb UK - Britain's Lawn Experts - 08000 111 222

Not as pricey as you might think (I pay £18 every few months) and it makes a real difference.

Not a lot between them to be fair, the first is a little lighter and will be easier for you turn and should return better petrol consumption, though you'll be emptying it a little more often. The extra height settings of the second will be an advantage if you have a very bumpy garden.

Niether of them have rollers, rarely get them on a rotary mower. You will still get a stripe off them from the weight and action of the mower going over the grass

i have a knackered Mountfield here and it doesnt have a roller but always left stripes

plus i dont care about the smaller grass box as i have a huge tall grass bin on wheels that gets emptied every 2 weeks.

looks like its the yello one, it will match my pressure washer and my car

its only a 2 day delivery as well. only time will tell if you buy cheap you get cheap

thanks you lot
