Benefits???
Is there somewhere online you can look on to see what benefits you can claim if you have a child??
the reason i say this is me and my other half, although we both work fulltime cannot afford to have a baby at the moment, we bought our house about 18months ago and just dont think we have enough money each month to raise a child!
however, i am sick to death of the fact that a load of people i know seem to claim hundreds of pounds a month in benefits/family tax credit etc and basically have the goverment paying for them to have kids!!!!!!
i would just like to know what i could claim if we had a child and the missus quit her job to look after it???
thanks

If you need benifits to raise a kid you will live like those on benifits - you may be pissed that they get free handouts but what sort of life is it?
You may as well go live under a bridge because you hear they give you free soup.

thanks for the link 84of300
only planning things at the moment!
cant downsize the house as its a 2 bed mid terrace and i sold the scoob to get the house!
the point im making is it takes both mine and my partners wage to pay for everything at the moment so there is no way i could raise a child on just 1 salary or 1 fulltime + 1 part time!

Then wait until you can afford kids. Unless you're well into your 30s and biological clocks really are ticking then it's worth saving your cash, investing it etc. to use once you have kids.
