Towing With An Impreza
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone on here has done much towing with their Impreza (newage) caravan/trailer) the owners manual says it can be done, but how realistic is that?
Thanks all.
Scott.

It won the 2007 Towcar of the year in the under 1800kg category.
Towcar of the year 7
The 4wd, stiff suspension, powerful engine will all work in its favour, but I think its limited to 1200kg.
Steve.

It towed with FOUR bikes on the roof of the car, and another inside the van, two adults and three large adolescent lads in the car.
I now tow the van from it's base in the Limousin to other sites in France every year. No problems so far.
The strange thing is that if I tow with the xantia, it's fuel consumption goes from 45 to about 25 mpg.
With the Scoob, it stays at, or around 23, which is not much less than I get normally.

Well, my mpg figure actually IMPROVES with a 800kg Folding Camper and Top Box and 3 Plump Adults (thats 52 stone alone!) + BIG Dog + 2 Tortoises + Suitcases + Food + ++++ other stuff.
The only thing I notice is that the rear wheel arches scrape along the outside of the tyres ..... could do with some spring assistors I guess?
