Default Question for you

Today is zero degrees celcius

The weatherman said it's going to be twice as cold tomorrow.

How cold is tomorrow going to be?

You can only compare absolute temperatures (where zero units equates to no thermal energy). Kelvins are an absolute temperature scale.

So 0 deg C is 273K. Half of that (i.e. twice as cold) is 137K. Which is also -137 deg C.

It wasn't Francis Wilson was it?

No, but don't you just love his laid back approach

I think he's great, the way he explains the weather in such an informal way. As if he's talking to mates down the pub

There will only be half the amount of "heat" about.
