Anyone got any recommendations as to where to hire a car trailer or a flatbed car transporter in the Oxfordshire or Warwickshire area? I need to go from Warwickshire to Surrey and pick up my Cobra, and bring it up to the new house, and although I have found a few places who do hire car trailers, they do not do insurance.

Then this morning it occurred to me that perhaps you could hire a truck with a flatbed used for moving cars around, and wondered if that was a possibility and if anyone knows anywhere. Need it just for one day...

Try a local plant hire place mate, they will have bever tails and may be able to help you out. I used my plant hire company to move a truck once, but then again I spend thousands with them every year.

If you are towing a trailer isn't it insured with your own car insurance? It might be worth checking.

My local Ifor Williams dealer rents them for £35 - £50 / day.
