Nice combo. Was a bit strong and unlike what I've read from you before.
5-6 green chillies = japanese flag [hope de-seeded]

Sorry chap didn't mean to offend Having a few glasses of port and sitting in front of a keyboard isn't always a good combo.
THB I just don't understand the appeal of curry house fare, when the real stuff is so much better. I'm a bit of a snob in that respect.
Try this for example, I bet you'll love it (lifted from the internet, but I use a similar recipe) :
Karai Ghost
Ingredients
* 1 tsp all spice
* 1 tsp coriander powder
* 1 tsp salt
* Fresh coriander leaves chopped
* 1/4 tsp black cumin seeds
* 1 large onion finely chopped
* 250 gr tomatoes finely chopped
* 5 - 6 green chillies
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp ginger / garlic
* 500 gr mutton pieces with bones
* 2 tbsp yoghurt
* 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
* 2 tsp red chilly powder
* 1/2 cup oil or ghee
Directions
In a karai or wok put the oil, mutton, tomatoes, salt, red chilly powder, ginger / garlic and onions. Cook over a medium heat till the meat is quite tender. Add to this the coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, black cummin seeds and all spice. Stir and cook for some time till the oil seperates. Add the yoghurt, green chillies and let it cook cook for a few minutes. Turn into a serving dish and sprinkle the coriander leaves on top.

Have to say - much prefer home-cooked curries to the "resturant" fare..... however, we do have one of the best curry-houses in the Midlands (won quite a few awards too)
Nice, but no patch on home cooking
Good call on the chicken karahi - yummy

atleast when you home cook the meat has come from a good butcher who kills the meat properly/humainly.
and you know where the hands of the cook has been
or if theres a great big beard hanging over your food as its being cooked.
food for thought
