And on a non muslim topic here's - HOT FUZZ
Didn't get Shaun of the Dead. Don't understand the popularity of the main guy either. British films are rubbish these days anyway.
Is there any English film that doesn't have Jim Broadbent or Bill Nighy in these days?

You ought to cheer up. You have been moaning a lot of late Kiwi, why are you so downcast?
Not enough decent British comedy anymore. When you look at the heritage - League of Gentlemen, Blackadder, Hale & Pace, Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, The Mighty Boosh, Smith and Jones etc etc
There are no real class acts at the moment. Gervais can be funny but he's a bit too smug. Little Britain were one trick ponies and the British film industry produces comedy's that are pathetically weak. (Kinky Boots, Calendar Girls etc)

Shaun of the Dead was great IMHO Plenty of LOL moments and a good soundtrack too. Hot Fuzz looks like more of the same - sure there are plenty of cliches, but a comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously can be very funny.
Tubby vaulting the fence in the trailer was superb. If you like that sort of thing.

Looks toooo much like Shaun of the Dead imho...
And Kiwi... You just said Hale and Pace were good? You alright there mate? Although I'm very much agreement with the rest.

Good to see some other Fuzzers here
Have been folowing it's progress, vid blogs are rather entertaining, especially the one with Peter Jackson. If you liked Shaun then you'll probably like Hot Fuzz, and vice versa.

I want to see this too. I love Simon Pegg and found Sean of the Dead very funny.
British comedy is something which maybe only the British get? Americans seem to have a problem with it, don't they?
