Got all of the current Vegas CSI (season 1 - 5) and season 1 and 2 of New York for christmas although I've not watched them yet. Gonna get the Miami ones too.
Vegas is the best one IMO, original and still best, why else would they make a season 6 when they planned to stop at the end of season 5.

I watched 'The Long Kiss Goodnight' yesterday,on one of the satellite channels over here.
Samuel L Jackson's character is introduced in a scene where he's busting a prostitute (actually his partner in a scam) and her customer.
The 'prostitute' was the greek girl from CSI NY, and the john was Detective Tripp from CSI Miami

PS: What's with the "doo bee doo bee"? The theme tune is 'Who Are You' not 'Strangers In The Night'

Good to see you have a sense of humour - it's actually a steaming pile of doggie-doos. If they took David Caruso out (or at least got him to try and act a bit) and stopped treating it as a travalogue for Miami it might be average. No, Vegas is still the best, followed some way behind by NY.

Grissom et al, are easily the best.

NY? Watched it once. Never bothered again.

Interesting about the colours.
In one where Caine (Miami) goes to New York he's shown standing by a window when Mac Taylor (NY) turns up. Caine is bathed in warm yellow light from the window and Mac Taylor is in cool blues and greys... in the same shot.

Vegas is best, but having watched the series a lot, I find myself being very critical of their procedures, as I am now an expert! (e.g, they wouldn't be cutting a car up with a grinder/wouldn't have their hair down - the blonde one in Miami) and what's with the torches in broad daylight????? Still love it tho.
My teddy's called Grissom cos he's got bandy legs

That was at the end of series 1, they have a new girl in series 2.
Series three starts on FX next week i believe, yup, miss Kate and prefer NCIS to CSI!

My wife is addicted to this, she watches CSI, NCIS, Law and Order, JAG, etc etc, ENDLESSLY on the cable channels.
Myself, I find it little better than the soaps. Full of unlikely stuff, silly "cameo" characters, and wooden acting.
And some of the "with one bound, Jack was free" endings are daft.
After all, everyone knows that MOST crimes are solved either by the criminal being caught in the act, grassed up, or just by pure chance. At least by UK "detectives" anyway

What do you mean CSI is back! it has never been away, it is on at least 3 channels every night of the week!!!!!!
It is on so much that I have no idea which episode of which series I am actually watching.
And yes NCIS is better

Anyhow, yep, Kate has been replaced by Ziva from the last series. personally I'd do both if they begged hard enough ...

You'd be surprised how effective a technique that is if you are searching for something small Ask me how I know
It helps focus your eyesight on one small area at a time
The original CSI is still the best
I actually find NCIS to be boring, the characters are so obvious in their traits and 'quirks', that it distracts from the recycled 70's storylines
