Not sure myself, so thought I'd consult the fountain of knowledge..

A colleague of mine has a Megane, 3 tyres 175's, and 1 a 155. This was just pointed out to her at a kwik-fit type outfit, and he said it might not be legal.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Mike.

Failed my MOT for this , had one 205 and one 215. So I suppose it's illegal, unless it's a temporary spare??

Never mind illegal, that would unbalance the car if you needed to brake hard in an emergency.

As far as I know, you can't pass MOTs on space-saver spare wheels, you have to get the proper wheels on first.

yup, got to admit, i didn't realise mine were different and changed them asap.

I know you can have different sizes front to rear. I managed to get my golf through an MOT with 13" on the front (the 17's scrubbed) and 17's on the back
